Summer Holiday School

VSSS are excited to announce that we will be running school holiday workshops in January 2019.
Students will participate in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Lyrical, Acro and Hip Hop classes. The workshop is suitable for all school aged children of any ability level. Students will be grouped according to age to ensure that they get the most out of the two day workshop. Students attending both days will have the opportunity to take class with former principal artist with the Australian Ballet, Lucinda Dunn OAM.

jenb Lucinda Dunn

The daughter of Valerie Smith, Lucinda attended Mimosa Public and Davidson High Schools and began her dance training in Sydney. She won a scholarship at the Prix de Lausanne to study at The Royal Ballet School of London and performed with Birmingham Royal Ballet.
Lucinda joined the Australian Ballet in 1991 and was promoted to Senior Artist in 1995 and then Principal Artist in 2002 and became the Australian Ballets longest serving female principal artist.
Lucinda has been nominated for several awards during her dancing career and received the prestigious Green Room Award for Best Female Dancer in 2005.
In 2006, Lucinda was invited to the prestigious World Ballet Festival in Tokyo to share the stage with today's finest dancers from around the world.
Lucinda was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for her service to the arts.
She is currently the Artistic Director of Tanya Pearson Coaching Academy

jenb Hannah Russell

Hannah is a versatile singer, actress and dancer from Sydney, Australia. She is a Graduate of Ev and Bow’s classical/contemporary course, The International Student Program at Broadway Dance Center and holds a Bachelor of Music – Arts Management from the Australian Institute of Music.
Hannah is currently a company member for The Julia Kane Dance Collective, and ALMA NYC residing in New York City. Her favorite professional dance credits include Jacquline Buglisi’s ‘Table of Silence Project’ with Buglisi Dance Theater and works for international choreographers Josh Assor, Zanza Steinberg, Julia Kane and Giacomo Severini. Her Dance credits have given her the opportunity to perform at The Sydney Opera House, The Lincoln Center NYC, Symphony Space, Manhattan Movement Arts Center, ANZ Stadium and Dixon Place.
In addition to dance Hannah enjoys entertaining audiences as a show host and emcee for Nickelodeon Live, Dreamworks, ABC Kids and Warner Brothers where she has appeared in Dora Explorer’s Dance Party, The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Show, Despicable Me 3, Trollsand more. She is also the New South Wales licensed Han’s Christian Anderson’s ‘Snow Queen’ (Roaming Performer).
