Eisteddfod Information
Eisteddfod competitors at VSSS
- This year most groups will be competing in Northern Beaches, Extreme, Ryde, Hornsby, and a select few at Ashfield. CLICK HERE FOR MAPS OF EACH EISTEDDFOD VENUE.
- Some dates and times of individual items are already known, however all competitions are between April and September and are generally at weekends. Please check the notice board in the studio or with your teacher for specific arrival times etc.
- Private lessons are $30 1/2 hour and $60 per hour. Money to be paid to your teacher on the day please (CASH ONLY).
- New students will be on a 3-week trial period so they can settle into new work.
Students must attend all classes and if 3 classes are missed then the dancer will be asked to leave the group. Students must be prepared to dance in ALL EISTEDDFODS.
- Please look neat and tidy and wear the correct school uniform for classes. Eisteddfod jackets are being made by Wanda (in the office). THE NEW STYLE JACKET IS TO BE WORN FOR 2010 EISTEDDFODS. Please purchase a NEW STYLE jacket if you do not have one.
- An Eisteddfod costume for each eisteddfod dance will need to be purchased each year. Your teacher will measure your child and let you know how much they will be. Please ensure you put CASH ONLY in an envelope with your child's name and class clearly marked on the front of the envelope. This money is passed onto the dressmaker. VSSS does not make a cent of these costs. THE $50.00 deposits are NOW DUE for 2010 EISTEDDFORDS. Please SEE YOUR TEACHER THIS WEEK.
- As previous years, we ask for an entry fee that covers all groups any one dancer be entering. $25.00 is for 1 dancer; if members of the same family are entering then the fee is $20.00 per dancer for the next and subsequent child/children. THESE FEES ARE NOW DUE FOR 2010 EISTEDDFODS.
